In conjunction with the American Cancer Society, Ektelon and Wilson Racquetball are sponsoring a raffle to raise money for breast cancer research, awareness and education. Tickets will be sold for $5 each or 3 tickets for $10. There will be 2 drawings on February 3, 2006. One prize is a top-of-the-line Ektelon 03 racquetball racquet. What makes this racquet unique is it's hot pink and black design along with the ACS ribbon insignia imprinted in the grip.
The second prize is a special edition blue Wilson racquet appropriately named the "Hope" racquet, custom made for the cause. All of us know either personally or by acquaintance someone whose life has been touched by breast cancer. We are asking the racquetball community to give to this worthy cause. There are two ways to purchase these raffle tickets:
1. By mail -- Send a check made out to the American Cancer Society for any increment of $5 or $10. Mail check with phone number to: Vicki Luque, 1477 Hickory Drive, Lilburn, GA 30047. Raffle tickets will be filled out in your name and entered in the drawing.
OR
2. Buy a ticket personally from Paula Carter, Lynn Fonseca, Vicki Luque or Michael Kaufman.
The drawing will be held February 3, at Concourse Athletic Club. (at a Special LADIES NIGHT - more info to follow) You do NOT have to be present to win. We encourage all friends and family members of Georgia racquetball players to participate in this raffle. If a non-player wins, there are plenty of players who would appreciate a great gift! These racquets will surely become collector's items. There were very few of the 03's manufactured. If you would like more information please contact Vicki Luque at 678-467-7686.
